These roses represent the fine women in my life. Some budding and some in full bloom

The people highlighted in these pages have exceptional characteristics. You won’t find them reflected in others because being what they are places them in a world greater than we can easily aspire to. The concept of a “tragic warrior” is what comes to my mind when thinking about these folks. Each one illustrates a life in which adversity predominates in front of them, and yet they have developed a unique personality and way to deal with it. It also saddens me that in their quotidian lives they are not afforded the deference that they deserve. In recognition to that is why they have a little spot at intoku.net that recognizes them. From far one can see that these characters deserve the respect and profound admiration that I bestow upon them here. Please don’t think that because you are not listed here that you are any less. I have heard that comment already. This is my site, and reflects what I think, not what you would like me to think and say. That said, there are some who belong here that have not been posted yet because this is a work in progress. -Migs
